Shilpa Tilwalli, M.D., is a Board certified Neurologist and Multiple Sclerosis specialist. She completed her internship at the University of Chicago Hospitals, and completed residency in Neurology at Rush University Medical Center. Dr. Tilwalli then trained as a fellow at the Rush Multiple Sclerosis Center for 2 years. She offers expertise in the treatment of multiple sclerosis and neuromyelitis optica, as well as the neurologic manifestations of other autoimmune diseases, such as lupus and sarcoidosis. She offers a wide variety of treatments, ranging from traditional interferons, to the newest oral drugs and chemotherapeutics.

Dr. Tilwalli truly cares about the wellbeing of her patients. She clarifies treatment goals with her patients, and offers personalized treatment options based on the individual, their disease, and their lifestyle. Dr. Tilwalli understands that illness not only affects a person's physical health, but also their daily activities and mental health. Her treatment plans not only aim to modify the disease course, but also to improve the quality of life of her patients.
